Bought this roast several times and never disappointed
The ribeye roast arrived in perfect condition. We trimmed and seasoned the roast the day before. It took a little less than 4 hours to smoke at 250 degrees. The small end was 140 for those that like it medium and 130 at the large end for those that like it medium rare. It was superb. We still had about 6lbs left after feeding 11 people and we sliced it thin for sandwiches. An awesome experience we are sure to try again.
I bought a 6 lb prime rib on sale a few months back and held it frozen until my birthday, July 4th, then smoked it. It was very tender and the spices I used made it very tasty. My only complaint it that my piece was not from the chuck end, so it had very little of the spinalis on it. For the price I paid, I should have expected it, but it was still a bit disappointing. Maybe next time, I'll make the plunge and buy the entire prime rib instead of a piece of it. Over all, it was good and everyone enjoyed it.
Not prime grade no marbling. Very disappointed with this order I don't know this first time not good
